The PDP fits perfectly in the hand. The tetrahedral structure of the Performance Duty Texture is the result of a long series of intensive development and testing, in the field, in a wide variety of weather conditions, as well as on the shooting range.

Optics Ready
Each PDP is designed for red dot sights. When mounted deep in the slide, the PDP's excellent aiming characteristics can be fully utilized.
Simultaneous use of co-witness sights is possible. This allows the illuminated dot of the optical sight to be perceived quickly and unconsciously.
Thanks to the special shape of the clasp, red dot sights can be integrated almost seamlessly.
Furthermore: The special shape at the end of the handle provides support for the little finger and assists in the instinctive interpretation of the weapon – like an invisible steering wheel.
Modularity
The PDP is the most modular and versatile pistol Walther has ever built:
Picatinny rail, optics ready, side-changeable magazine release, three barrel lengths and two grip lengths, each with three backstrap inserts.
This makes it ideally suited for any service application.
The PDP's open sights use standard mounting dimensions. The aftermarket offers virtually limitless options when choosing a sight.
With a magazine funnel, the Performance Duty Pistol becomes a high-performance athlete.
reliability
The stepped chamber seals the cartridge case reliably. This allows the PDP to extract more muzzle energy from the ammunition and reduces powder residue in the weapon. As a result, the PDP shoots better for longer. PDP: "Made to be shot!"
Safety devices
The loaded indicator on the extractor signals whether a cartridge is in the chamber. Furthermore, the trigger, firing pin, and shooter safety (disconnector) provide even greater safety.
Scope of delivery
Two magazines, a loading aid, backstraps in sizes S, M, and L, and a cover for the interface for optical sights. Each PDP comes with an ambidextrous bolt catch, a side-replaceable magazine release, and a polygonal barrel.
A generously sized, high-quality gun case in PDP design is included.

Performance Duty Trigger
The brand-new Performance Duty Trigger (PDT) is Walther’s new and improved trigger system, achieved by shortening the length of travel and increasing the tactile definition of the trigger break. The incredible result is a highly distinct, recognisable feel for repeatable accuracy that will maximise your confidence. When you are ready to take the shot, this is the trigger you want.
Stepped Chamber
READY TO ENGAGE
A decrease in the diameter of the final section of the chamber.
INCREASED RELIABILITY
The beginning section of the chamber has a larger diameter. This allows the cartridge to easily feed into the chamber, even in extreme circumstances.
MATCH GRADE ACCURACY
The tighter tolerances and consistent placement of the round lead to greater accuracy.
INCREASED VELOCITY OF AMMUNITION
Due to the tighter tolerances of the chamber, when combined with a well-supported chamber, the stepped chamber can support ammunition used at higher velocities.
CLEANLINESS
The stepped chamber drives excess gases through the front of the muzzle, resulting in less blowback into the pistol.
Red Dot Ergonomics
The RDS ergonomics on the Walther PDP are designed to make the switch to the popular red-dot sight system easier and faster for RDS shooters. The RDS ergonomics have been engineered to allow shooters to locate the red-dot instantly when presenting, achieved through pinky pressure and offhand support.
The PDP grip angle is designed for a natural aiming position, which, coupled with the innovative RDS ergonomics, allows lightning-fast acquisition of the red-dot.
When you are ready to make the switch to using an RDS, the PDP is engineered to get you there faster and easier.
Performance Duty Texture
Developed by Walther to provide a premium yet functional grip, Walther’s Performance Duty Texture offers the right level of aggressiveness to maintain proper grip control. With its tetrahedron design, it is non-abrasive, causing no irritation to the skin or clothing of the user.
