Holosun ARO-EVO-RD-SPR & HM3X Red BDC Reticle/Solar/6061

The ARO-EVO is the consistent further development of the ARO (Advanced Rifle Optic). It features an entirely new housing design with a 26mm objective diameter. This provides a significantly larger field of view, giving the user more information about the target area, leading to faster and improved target response and resulting in optimised hit performance. The new lower 1/3 co-witness pedestal mount provides an absolutely impact-resistant connection to the weapon's Picatinny rail. The newly designed housing perfectly matches Holosun's series of magnifiers. Additionally, the ARO-EVO is equipped with the new Special Purpose Reticle (SPR). This is a reticle with hold marks for bullet drop compensation at different shooting distances (Bullet Drop Compensation - BDC). This is a feature integrated into optics to help the shooter compensate for the projectile's trajectory deviation over longer distances.

Due to gravity, a projectile follows a parabolic trajectory after leaving the barrel, causing it to drop with increasing distance to the target. Holosun's SPR reticle with integrated BDC contains special markings that allow the shooter to directly compensate for different target distances without manually adjusting the optic or the zeroing range. These markings are calibrated to offset the specific bullet drop at certain distances. With BDC, the shooter can accurately hit the target at various distances by simply aiming through the corresponding hold mark. This is particularly advantageous in situations where quick target acquisition and adjustment are necessary, as is often the case in tactical or hunting environments. The usability lies in the fact that the shooter can intuitively perform range estimation and compensation, increasing accuracy at different distances. It features a fine 2MOA dot in the center, optimal for use even at larger distances, which covers very little of the target. The 65MOA ring serves for ultra-fast target acquisition at close range. Combined with the hold marks for precise determination of bullet drop and distance estimation up to about 300m, optimal results up to medium shooting distances can be achieved with this reticle, especially in combination with one of Holosun's magnifiers.

The SPR reticle is suitable not only for professional users but also particularly for users without tactical training and experience, as the reticle is extremely intuitive to use. The muzzle of the weapon is automatically brought into a different deflection when aiming over the respective hold marks to compensate for the falling trajectory of the projectile. The ARO-EVO-SPR is available with the innovative Special Purpose Reticle in red, green, and gold. You decide the optimal reticle colour for you when ordering, depending on personal preference, prevailing operational environment, or existing eye conditions (for example red-green colour blindness, where we recommend the golden reticle).
